That's why in Ephesion 6, this classic passage on the whole armor of God, he culminates,

words praying always, with all prayer and supplication in the spirit and watching thereunto, with all perseverance and supplication in the Spirit and watching thereunto,

with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
