The Arsenal and Scotland defender was diagnosed with breast cancer last October and has been

talking to BBC Sport during her ongoing treatment.

You'll hear Ailey Barber chat to her about her anxieties, isolation and scoring for her

club just three days after her diagnosis.

Gen I'm going to start with a question that's probably usually a pretty simple one to answer,

but few I think it's probably been one that's been quite difficult to answer over the last

few months, but how are you?

I'm good.

Right now I'm just happy to be back in training and back involved with the girls.

It's obviously been a rollercoaster of emotions for the past couple of months, but at the minute

I feel good because I've just got back from international camp and I feel like a sense

of normality is back, so at the minute I feel good.

And there's a reason why I ask that question and why you're talking about normality.

Let's go back to a few months ago.

Tell us what happened.

So a few months ago I basically got a long story short, I found a lump in my breast and

I'm normally quite a conscious person, like I check them quite regularly I would say,

but something just felt a little bit different, so I basically got our club doctor to check

it out and after basically various tests got diagnosed with breast cancer at the start

of October, which ironically was breast cancer awareness month, so to add that to the whole
