And Jessica Bennett and we are the dynamic duo behind Alice Lane Interior Design, as well as Alice Lane Home Collection.

We have learned so much over all the years and we get asked a lot of questions and we felt like

it's time for us to share what we know and give forward some of the expert advice and if we can help you from making a very expensive mistake hopefully you can learn from the things that we've learned and

to be able to learn from our process. First though I want to talk about why we're

calling it dear Alice. If many of you remember or many of you may not because you're

too young like Sue and I were way too young. There was an

old advice column in the 1950s called Dear Abbey where they wrote in to Abbey I I assume, is her name,

and she would give them etiquette advice or advice

on relationships or anything else.

And we felt like it would be fun to use the name Alice

since that is the name of the firm in it and we came

up with dear Alice. This is a place where we can answer interior design questions and really

talk about interior design.

So welcome to dear Alice and you can see at the top of our

podcast it's called a lifestyle approach to interior design and we want to break that down for you a little bit.

Sue let's talk about lifestyle.

Yeah, lifestyle is absolutely what we I think give people when we create these environments and spaces for them.

It takes a lot of learning about the client and I think we're really curious

about the people we work with.
