Hello, hello, welcome to this week's NTT 20 Monday podcast, where myself, Ali Maxwell and my great friend George Ehrlich talk all things EFL, which means a few different things in this week's episode.

It was a week in the championship that saw, or a weekend rather, that saw five of the top six

win. The other team that didn't win, conceded in the 97th minute, saw two hat tricks, one of them

a four goal haul, a hat trick of assists for a player and a managerial departure as well, so plenty

to get our teeth into in the championship. But these League 1 playoffs, just like League 2,

are awkwardly timed for a Monday podcast.

But, George, I have to ask a few hours before the second leg,

Oxford 1, Portsmouth 1, as it stands.

What is it like being a fan watching your team play

in their first ever EFL playoffs competition from home on the telly behind closed doors

not on the telly on the iPad um it wasn't the most enjoyable way to watch a football match i must say

because um for anyone that watched the game as an Oxford fan the first 20 minutes

couldn't really have gone worse where we barely touched the ball and just had to deal with

relentless pressure from Pompey so in that regard it wasn't great obviously the goal for

portsmouth brought us back into the game because they I think the tie was probably

there for them to

really take the initiative and they could have, if they carried on in that similar vein,

they could have pushed themselves kind of out of sight, but instead they dropped off and enabled

Oxford to get back into it. Starting to see why you bang on about Marcus Brown so much. Yes,

he is very good. I think the key to this evening's game, this afternoon's game, will be just getting him the ball.

I wouldn't be massively surprised if he's brought inside this afternoon

and played more centrally with sights coming in for Woodburn and played out wide, but we'll see.
