A little programming note at the top of the show here for the foreseeable future. And it looks like, at least according to all the reports, Shane Bowen will be returning as Giants defensive coordinator for this next week, maybe the rest of the season. For the foreseeable future, Nick and I will be doing one all 22 show. I think at this point, the crowd has spoken, given the views on the defensive shows, the downloads, everything that comes with it. People are interested in the Giants offense. For us, it's not only that you guys are not as interested in watching film on the Giants defense and our breakdowns. It's just that it's the same thing every week. Nick and I have talked about this and we're in a lot of ways we're running out of ways to talk about the defense. You can just talk about the plays, go over them, but it's the same thing every week when it comes to the defense. I don't think anyone's really learning anything too much. We can learn about the players

and how they play and we'll still talk about it. This one show will include defense as well,

but we're not going to do a whole show on this chain bow and defense. It's too much, it's too

repetitive. And in addition to that, this guy's not going to be here past this year. I think that's

beyond obvious. Yeah, of course. No, but Dan, he blitzed. Oh, like, I see people make it a big deal.

It's like, wow, this revolutionary idea of sending a fifth rusher. Whoa, wow, he did that while still running man coverage, just not having a rat in the hole behind to cover the middle of the field.

Like, Shane Bowen is an unimaginative defensive coordinator who is not a great teacher, obviously, because the Giants consistently make the same mistakes in the run game with their run fits, the lack of physicality, the lack of accountability, which we saw a little bit with Mike Kafka, actually imposing some accountability on certain players who were not living up to the standard, which I applaud for Mike Kafka. But overall, man, the defenses, it's the same stuff. At least we got a game out of Dexter Lawrence. He looked good on tape, which we'll talk about later in the podcast. Great on tape. This was a vintage Dexter Lawrence performance. I'll be it against the really beat up offensive line. That was their backup center, right? That was what Jenkins was playing for them center.

Yeah.

So, I mean, it's great, but it's a little to slide someone over. Yeah, but yeah. Yeah, it's too little too late on that front, at least for me. But he did play like him, his old self. And we'll talk about that. Where do you want to, do you want to start on the offense? Do you want to start with some of the coaching stuff with Kafka?

view, right? Yeah. Yeah, we could start with that. Firstly, man, I mean, I thought Mike Kafka,

and this isn't a massive deal, right, but I thought Mike Kafka promoting Elijah Chapman and and Dailen Cambry to the active roster was almost a honor to

players who have been doing everything the right way through the season who have been toiling away on the practice squad.

Right.

The camber you needed that special teams asset.

I get that.
