at the Gospel Coalition's 2018 West Coast Conference in Orange County, California.

I invite you to turn with me to 2nd Timothy and to chapter 4 and as you turn there it's a great privilege to be here and to be in the

company of others who do what I do Sunday by Sunday and week by week.

And in certain cases to be in the presence of those, our wives who sustain us and support us in ways that only we know and God knows.

And I never tire of acknowledging the sense of great gratitude and dependence that I have

upon my wife and I know that I share that

with each of the men that are present here this morning. Thank you for the

privilege of being with you. Now let me read from 2 Timothy chapter 4 and the first 8 verses. I charge

you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his

kingdom, preach the word, be ready in season and out of season, reprove, rebuke and exhort with complete patience and teaching.
