It was on a Wednesday, February 1st, a day like any other when passengers on a commercial

airplane were making their trip.

No details were given as to where they were going in the article that I read, but that wouldn't

matter.

The important thing here is that they spotted something out the window, the sphere.

It was a white balloon.

On that same day, the former editor of the Billings Gazette in Montana also saw the object.

The airspace around Billings was closed, so, of course, he was curious as to why.

When he saw it, he thought it was one of two things, either a star or a UFO. He called up his

friend, Larry Mayer, who was a photographer for the same publication. He sent the images to government agencies and the national media companies went in, and the whole thing spread.

You probably know where this story's going.

It turned out to be a balloon that belonged to China, and it had been released for surveillance purposes of some kind, although it was not aimed at the United States.

It had apparently been an accident.

Anyway, it was eventually shot down over the Atlantic Ocean by the United States Air Force.

Now, this didn't happen that long ago, right?

But all of the country's tensions and political blame aside, however, it's an important issue that was coming up.

And that was trust.
