Summary

14 year old Alicia Navarro from Glendale, Arizona seemingly vanished without a trace after sneaking out of her home on September 15th, 2019. She left a note telling her mother Jessica “I ran away, I will be back. I swear, I’m sorry. Alicia” But it has been over a year since Alicia left this note and her mother is convinced that she was led away by a predator she met online. For more information about Alicia's case check out her Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/findAliciaNavarro To donate to help with billboards please see Jessica's GoFundMe: https://bit.ly/39JehMH Special thanks to Maca Silva for allowing me to use her beautiful song about Alicia. Unfortunately, there's no new episode this week. The truth is, my air conditioning went out during the hottest

0:06.5

month of the year here in Arizona, and it's been down for a few weeks now. Which means I'm not only out of my home,

0:14.0

but I'm also out of my home office slash studio. I've been bouncing from place to place with my two dogs,

0:20.2

and although I do have a script

0:22.1

that I could record, I really didn't feel like it was my best work. So instead of hastily putting

0:27.3

together an episode just to get it out there, I decided it would be better to re-release one of my

0:32.0

old episodes. I just couldn't put out work that I didn't feel was up to par, for the victim

0:37.0

or their family.

0:38.7

Honestly, this is the first time in the history of this podcast that I have not been able to make it

0:43.5

happen, and I'm extremely disappointed in myself. Voices for Justice is still a single-person

0:50.3

operation, which means the responsibility falls on me alone. So, life excuses aside,

0:57.0

I'm sorry that I just couldn't make it happen this week. And I promise that I will do everything in

1:01.9

my power to ensure that this never happens again. With that being said, I am re-releasing my

1:07.6

episode on Alicia Navarro. This is an honor of the first ever Alicia Navarro Community Awareness

1:13.8

Day at the end of this month. If you are in the Phoenix area, I'd love if you joined us. It will be held on

1:20.8

Saturday, July 31st, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Dream City Church. I will be presenting a small talk, as will Brandy Meyer's sister Kristen Dennis,

1:30.5

and other members of the community. If you aren't local to Arizona, the event will be live streamed

1:36.1

to the Finding Alicia Facebook page, and I'll be going live on the Voices for Justice Instagram page as well.

1:42.6

As a small update, Alicia's mother Jessica is now working

1:45.9

with a private investigator to help further her case. I can't say too much, but I truly believe that

1:51.8

Alicia's case is just one tip away from being solved, and she needs our help now more than ever.

1:59.1

So without further introduction, here is the case of Alicia Navarro.
