Hello Sunshine, I'm Alexi Lomison. The State of the Union podcast is dark over the holidays as we get some much needed time off and recharge for 2023,

but I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year, and a wonderful holiday season.

And hopefully you're spending some time with family and friends and the people that you love.

2022, yeah, it was a hell of a year for the State of the Union Pod.

And on behalf of myself, the great David Mossy,

producer Sean and all the incredible men and women here at Fox who make the pod happen.

Thank you. You have helped grow this pod into something special and we are so incredibly grateful that you all join

us each and every week. As you know, American soccer is well a unique and

strange and beautiful creature continues to grow and to change. It is certainly not perfect, but it's

ours and we love it and we love talking about it and debating it and

documenting it and criticizing it and defending it and laughing at it but ultimately

just owning it all.

No apologies as we look at the beautiful game on and off the field

through the lens of red-white and blue-colored glasses.

We are looking forward to an incredible 2023 on Fox with the U.S. men's national team

at the Women's National team at the Women's World Cup, the

return of MLS, all the action and stories on and off the field that impact us from

around the world and I cannot wait. Thanks again for having us into your life and being part of ours. We will see you in

2023 and until then and as always, Sighs the day.
