And today we are super excited to jump into two texts by a very, very, very important

communist theorist, Alexander Kolentai, and we're going to get a little bit into who she

is and why these texts matter.

But just kind of start things off, if you haven't checked it out yet, RevLeftRadio has

an episode that will get into way more details about Kolentai as a figure that you should

absolutely go listen to in order to kind of supplement this.

One of the texts, especially that we're looking at here, we were kind of inspired to look

at because of the conversation that happened in that episode.

So you should definitely go check that out in order to get kind of more depth to what

we're going for here.

But we have two texts that we're going to look at, one set before the Russian Revolution

of 1917 and one set afterwards, which kind of creates an interesting contrast between

the two that we hope will be quite useful.

Before we kind of get into the details on some of that, our goal also for next month

is kind of to mix things up a little bit.

Usually we alternate between a theory episode and a current events episode, but sometimes

the current event side of things just kind of doesn't fall into place so much and we

don't have much to talk about.

So to mix it up a little bit, we're going to be doing a Q&A episode next month for

the general public.
