And what I realized after being knocked on my ass, that turning the lens inward and allowed me to look at things from a different way and that winning really want and I want to help give you the tools to make that

A Rod if you'd like to call him that. He is quite the businessman now and of course the baseball legend but

something tells me people are gonna remember him for his for his business

sense and his successes off the field.

And so we talked a lot about that.

We talked about how A Rod Corp started in 2003.

And we talked about the trajectory of that

and what he's done and where it's going.

And we also talked about some of the transitional times

So what I'm most curious off the top is, is you retired what were you most looking forward to

doing that you didn't have the opportunity to do. You know I played for such a

long time and thank you for having me in your podcast. I can't wait to hear all of them

I played for 25 years and I think a lot of people forget sometimes the first part of how the

arc started and for me it was you know a few months after my high school prom I

was at Fenway Park as an 18 year old in the Major Lakes and

while I looked like an adult I was still a child I was 18 and all my buddies were in great colleges there were freshmen and here I was facing

Roger Clemens at Fenway scared out of my mind not having you know getting on the bus

and everybody's calling their wives and their kids and I'm calling my mother.
