Hey everybody Rob Mauer here and today we've got quite a bit to go through from over the weekend.

We have a new Elon Musk interview from last

evening we also have a new street high price target from Alex Potter over at Piper

Sandler new comments from Ron Barron and Kathy Wood and a couple other things to go

through as well so a strong day for Tesla stock today finishing up 5.8% shaking off the fall from

Friday to close at 839.81 cents that compared to the Nasdac also with a very

strong day up 2.5%. That move today may have benefited from a new street high price target of $1,200 per share from Alex Potter over at Piper Sandler. Previously their price target was $515, but it's been quite a while since they've updated it.

And for good reason, they've been working on a 104-page report, which they are calling the

definitive guide to investing in Tesla.

Many of you will be familiar with Alex Potter. He's been on the

podcast three separate times. Likely with this update will have him on again very soon

so I'm not going to go into probably the normal level of detail that I would for

104-page report but unsurprisingly this is probably

the most in-depth analyst note that I've seen on Tesla so far.

And that's not to say it's going to be anything earth-shattering for those that follow the company

extremely closely, but it does a great job of setting the stage for those that are that are great job of setting the stage for those that are newer to Tesla

and need that grounding on why the heck Tesla is so valuable.

The report also does a great job of contextualizing the opportunity, so breaking the automotive

market down by region and by segment, which does a couple things both shows Tesla's dominance

in the segments they are playing in and then shows how close they are to really being able to expand their

reach and continue growing. Piper sums up the report by saying, quote,

2020 was a breakout year for Tesla, but in our view the fireworks aren't over.
