I feel like a lot of us, at least within my friend group, have been talking about

letting go relinquishing control but also it being scary as hell to do, whether it be releasing a

relationship or letting go of a toxic job or divorce or separating from a partner like there are

so many big things happening for people that feel terrifying. Both to hold on to feels terrifying

and letting go feels terrifying. So then we're stuck in this like limbo of well what do I do

and right now I've been exploring the question what do I do a lot. Recently I had to

part ways with another friend, second friend in a year and it really made me feel like shit,

it made me feel like wow is it me? Is it them or is it just huh we're no longer aligned and if

that's the case like is that a bad thing there's been so much to process around especially around

releasing relationships and releasing expectations that every relationship has to be a forever thing

has to be a forever friendship and that's not true even if the friendship has been 10 years and

you have to be like oh we're not good for each other anymore and that doesn't mean we've done

something specifically like terrible or malicious it could just mean like we are not on the same

path and that is okay my recent friend separation was from someone I've been friends with for a

number of years and it was challenging for me to watch the friendship kind of drift even after we
