Summary

Episode 182 with Alex Gilbert & Katy Weber.

“My ‘To Do’ list feels like a table covered in those buzzers they give you at chain restaurants. Everything feels urgent and everything is competing for my attention.”

You may remember that I have another podcast called The ADHD Lounge, which I co-host with fellow ADHD coach Alex Gilbert. This week I’m sharing one of my favorite episodes from that podcast, in which Alex & I talk about managing ADHD overwhelm.

We identify some of the main causes ADHD overwhelm, as well as decision fatigue and paralysis. We also share some of the strategies we use in our own lives and with our coaching clients, including tools and resources to help them feel more motivated and confident in their progress.

And I was the only person who could get it to shore. And I think that that's a lot of

you're the only one who has to plug in the holes.

Hello and welcome to the women and ADHD podcast. I'm your host, Katie Weber. I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 45,

0:46.0

and it completely turned my world upside down. I've been looking back at so much of my life, school,

jobs, my relationships, all of it with this new lens, and it has

0:57.5

been nothing short of overwhelming.

I quickly discovered I was not the only woman to have this experience, and now I interview

other women who, like me, discovered in adulthood they have ADHD and are finally feeling

to best lean into their strengths, both professionally and personally.

The format's a little different from this one. Every month, we interview an expert on a topic

related to ADHD and learning disabilities. We have tackled disordered eating. We have
