It's another very special soundtrack in this week as we take you to the Everyman Cinema in Hampstead,

where director Alex Garland and his composers, Jeff Barrow and Ben Salisbury,

came together for a Q&A following our exclusive screening of Annihilation.

As you may know, the film hasn't had a cinematic release outside the US.

You can, however, watch Annihilation on Netflix and it is

well worth your time if you haven't seen it already. Now before the boss joined us on stage,

I caught up with Jeff and Ben in the bar to discuss their other work, specifically on Alex's

ex-Machina and Ben Wheatley's Freefire. Their first score together was for Dread.

At least it would have been,

had the studio not decided it wasn't suitable for the film.

Thankfully, they shared their efforts anyway

under the guise of Drook.

And it's with a spot of Drok that we begin

as we find out how they met.

And Jeff Barrow and Ben Salisbury and I are just sitting in a little room chatting.

And I thought we'd chat about you guys and your work together and also individually as well before Mr Garland joins us later on for the actual Q&A.

I want to know how you two met for the first time first.

We play the worst possible competitive old man football. It's actually, we're in a league

and it's actually 20, it's the 28th tier of the English league. So there's 28 leagues beneath the sea.
