book that we have coming out called The Sail. And his name is Alex Demchack. Alex, how

you doing?

John, I'm doing great. I remember listening to your first ever episode. So it's been

pretty fun to see how this thing has grown and the guests you have on these days. So it's

an honor to be on here today.

Well, it's pretty cool that you are a co-author. Alex, how old are you?

I'm 29 years old. So 29 years old. You are my youngest co-author I've ever had. I just

want you to know that. Hey, share how we met.

Gosh. So when I was playing football at Mizzou, my buddy gave me the energy bus. And he's

like, Hey, Alex, his name was Mike Godis. I got a good shot out. And he said, Alex, you

need to read this book. You're going to love it. And I didn't know anything about you.

And I remember reading it. And I couldn't put it down. And then you came and spoke at

Mizzou. And so we had just connected through that. And I'd reached out. And I was coming out

with my first book called Thrive You that you kind of helped with a little bit. And we just

stayed connected. And once I graduated from Mizzou, I got into sales. And then we started talking

about all different types of things. And so yeah, so literally since that first time we met

at Mizzou, I think it's been six years now that you've kind of been mentoring me. And we've

been kind of working together in a lot of different capacities. So it's been a wild ride,

but it's been awesome. And one of those capacities is the fact that you are a speaker. And so you

were a young speaker, you graduated, you knew you wanted to do this work. And you began speaking
