Alex Bloomberg is going to be here.

Alex is a giant in the world of podcasting,

which means that the people who care about him

and about what he does are kind of fanatical.

To a lot of the world, he's probably anonymous, but his work isn't anonymous to anybody. He's an award-winning journalist. He was a part of

this American life, was one of the founders of Planet Money, won the DuPont Award

for Journalism, which is given out by Columbia University, a very important

and prestigious journalistic award.

And he has embarked on a really incredibly fascinating project, which is called

startup. And it's a podcast that documents his this venture which is building his own

podcasting network starting a business and It's a real audio cinema veritae approach to self-documentation.

And although I want to talk to Alex about the extent to which he's aware of the fact that he's recording,

what you take away as a listener, what I take away as a listener,

is that he's showing us in as close to real time as he can with a little bit of perspective and distance exactly what

he's feeling and thinking and how he's processing and he's a great audio

storyteller and I couldn't recommend the podcast more.
