Well, first off, Patriots fans should be furious with the Buffalo Bills because the DJ Moore trade through this whole thing completely out of whack. That guy was worth a fourth at most, and they trade him for a second. If he's worth a second, Jalen Wattle is certainly worth a first.

I've been under the impression you could maybe get Brown for a second and a third. Now you're going to have to give 31 if you want him. So here's what I'm more curious about. Before all of this, before the DJ more nonsense, the price of this trade was a second and a fourth. That's what Diggs went for when he went to Houston a couple years ago. That's basic. Metcalf was like a second and a fifth with a swap, but call it second in an early day three pick. That's what the value of these players have been. If this thing goes on past the draft and past June 1st, which it might. How much does the value reset? Okay, in this draft cycle, these receivers are worth more. DJ Moore is worth a second. Jalen Waddle's worth the first. When we're talking about 2027 and keep in mind, that's an unknown pick. You're no longer using the 31st pick as a benchmark. You're using a general first. Do the Eagles still come at it?

Can they still come at it and say, hey, Jalen Waddle went for first? We want a first. Do the Patriots look

at it and say the 2026 cycle was broken? I think you're all looking at it wrong. It's all about

what else someone's willing to offer. I mean, just because Waddle went for a first or DJ Moore went for a second, if the best offer that the Eagles are getting for A.J. Brown is the third. You'll get him for a second, is what I think. Brown's going to be less. They're not going to the Eagles, not going to bring him back. Do you think Howie Roseman would be willing to hold on to him to avoid taking what would be viewed as a lesser than deal? Because if they take a second at this point, they're taking a lesser than deal. Ultimately, no. No. He's a good, capable GM. That would be managing with ego and perception versus what's best for your team. And what's best for your team at this point is to move on from AJ Brown and get the best offer you can for him.
