Yes, it's been so fun and the lead up to the baby and then today the day of the baby it's extra fun.

Yeah, I mean there were only like 45 minutes of tension when we didn't know when the baby was arriving but in those 45 minutes it was nice to hang out in the Facebook group.

You were all in it together. I was, we were all in it together. So I think we should start there with the sort of like labor announcement.

Yes, so first it had to have been around like nine o'clock our time in New York. We got an announcement that she had gone into labor that morning and that another announcement would be imminent.

So it kind of suggested that the labor was perhaps finished. But at the same time we're like what? I don't know.

And so yeah, for those like again it was only 45 minutes or so but it was like she's in labor like the world's reporter is saying she's in labor.

Like it's happening as if it were happening presently but then Buckingham Palace released a statement with this very interesting wording saying the Duchess of Sussex went into labor in the wee hours early hours.

Wasn't that we just wanted to be we in the early hours of Monday morning. We'll be making an announcement soon. So that later came into play because 45 minutes later they were like babies here and of course it was this very strange experience.

So we're like oh she was in labor for 45 minutes but of course that was not the case. Yes. So the announcement was made not only through press releases but also on Instagram as we knew it would. Yes. And what's really great is because it is a boy.

The background was the blue although they could have done it for a girl as well because quality. But they do have that sort of the same call that they used to announce their Instagram.

This sort of actually it's very similar to what you're wearing right now. Thank you. It's a navy. But it's kind of an indigo.

Maybe there's definitely some purple of that. We can we can dissect that some other time. The point is they made the announcement on their Instagram. It's a boy and they use the word overjoyed in the image which I really liked.

And and then maybe was here. Yes. And then later they brought out the fancy easel which I kind of remember from the other babies but I don't think I ever really cared before because I was like that's an easel. But the easels an easel.

The tradition is they bring out this golden easel at the front of Buckingham Palace and then they put the little birth announcement. And so on the easel we heard a little bit more information and what we learned was.

Well, it's an announcement from the queen. So the queen and the royal family are delighted at the news that her royal highness the Duchess of Sussex was safely delivered of a son at 526 am today. Her royal highness and her child are both doing well.

So thank you for that information golden easel. I have to just say for a moment I kind of love the language of was safely delivered of me too. Yes, it is passive voice which is a grammatical no no in the English language. We all know you're a grammar.

The table is no everybody knows. But I really liked it because after the the baby was overdue as we all know and she was pregnant for what feels like a very, very long time of course long for me much longer for her.

And I just love the language in that regard she was safely delivered of like she was like finally I'm delivered from this baby like I kind of like the language in that way like and it's what they use with.
