All right, time to talk guns. I'm Tom Gresham. The show is gun talk because we talk about guns.

That's what we're doing. We're doing a live remote today from the hinterlands of Wyoming,

that's gorgeous area. Just a little bit outside of Evanston. The Queen Mountain guest ranch,

pretty cool place. We'll get a little bit more details about that. We're at an event that SIG is

putting on called the Hunter Games. A little bit more about that as we go along.

But for right now, and we're trying to line up our guest, but what's going on is if you remember

the ATF under Joe Biden wants to reclassify stabilizing braces. These are the braces that you use

on AR and AK pistols designed originally for a veteran to be able to use who couldn't use a

regular rifle, but have a stabilizing brace on it. They become wildly popular, of course.

Now the ATF wants to say that that's not really a rifle. That's really, now it's a short barrel.

Rifle. It was a pistol before you put the brace on it. Now it becomes a short barrel rifle.

Well, an SBR, of course, requires you to pay the $200 tax, go through the NFA rigs, apply for

wait up to a year to get your tax stamp. But what's really, I'm tempted to use the word evil

about the whole thing, is they would make it retroactive and say, all you people who bought these,

and we're not sure if it's one million or 40 million. I've heard numbers all over the place.

If you don't get rid of them or don't register them, you become a felon. Yeah, I'm not kidding.

And the weird part is, these are people who were told, I mean, the ATF said,

this is legal. They were asked about. They said, perfectly legal, not a problem, good to go.
