So at the table I like to separate myself from the situation and to create space between myself and my ego to allow

myself to think about the situation more rationally.

So a quick thing I do is say, and I talk to myself in the third person,

and this might sound a little bit like odd, it might feel almost arrogant to do this you know to talk to yourself like when you

talk in the third person it sounds like you're kind of being arrogant right like if you

speak out loud in the third person it sounds ridiculous but when you do this to

yourself you actually look at yourself as if you were giving yourself advice.

So when I'm playing poker, I look at it like, if I was sitting behind Alec, what would I tell him to do?
