Welcome to Rates and Barrels episode number 148, playoff episode number six.

It's Monday, October 5th, at least it will be by the time you hear this episode, most likely.

On this episode, we're going to review the Divisional Series matchups in the American League.

Those are going to get underway today.

We'll take a look at the National League matchups as well.

Those start on Tuesday. So two games on Monday, four games on Tuesday.

Since we last spoke, the Marlins knocked off the Cubs to make it to this round. They will face

the Braves. Brendan Kinsler complimented our fantasy football coverage in the post-game press

conference. So that was a pretty cool shout-out.

And I've devoured two pumpkin-spiced cream puffs from the Wisconsin State Fair Drive-Thru.

So a lot has happened.

It's been a good couple of days in my world.

I hurt myself badly.

I hurt myself. I burned my finger. It's a gross, big blister.

God, steaming is just a terrible way to go. I now feel very badly for lobsters.

He was using the friar at your state fair when he hurt himself.

You know he was doing the hard work making those cream puffs.

I did something fallish as well.

We got a pumpkin today.

And naturally I thought we'd carve the pumpkin as a family.
