Aldous Huxley wrote Brave New World, great dystopian novel.

One of his students went on to write 1984, George Orwell, also a great dystopian novel.

Both of these guys were predicting the future.

And in fact, Aldous Huxley sent his former student a note about 1984, talking about their various

conclusions about how tyranny would be installed. Interestingly, they were both right and both wrong

at the very same time. I'm not claiming to be as smart as either of them. I'm not,

but we live now in a time pretty far from when they wrote their books and pretty far into the

installation of tyranny. Because they were both wrong at the same time, they were also both right

at the same time. So let's look back at them and this letter,

and let's look at what we have today and how tyranny is being installed. We'll talk about this
