Hello, welcome to the Corny Turner podcast.

So I'm super, super excited about this episode.

I've literally envisioned this for months.

I had someone reach out to me

and call me an intellectual matchmaker, and I kind of like that term. I kind of feel like that

that resonates for me. So I've had this discussion with each of them, and Jay and James have

definitely, they've had this discussion on my podcast as well to some extent.

Those of you who watch, remember my very long one with Stephen Coglin here.

So what I want to cover is I feel like the term dialectic gets thrown around a lot.

And a lot of people really don't necessarily know really what it means and they don't have a concept of the genesis. And if you don't

understand the roots of something, it's really hard to understand how it's being applied or

weaponized in current use. So my hope is that today we're going to dive into some of the

roots of the term and the roots of where it stems and how it's being utilized today.

We're going to kind of cover this historical philosophical roots of the dialectic. So I don't think any of these people need introduction, but I will allow all of them to give

a brief introduction of themselves.
