It's May the 25th, 1928. In the Chelsea district,

the island of Manhattan in New York City, the Bud family resided in an apartment

at 406 West 15th Street. In rather impoverished conditions,

amid the city squire. In total, seven people shared the tiny apartment.

The father, Albert Bud, worked as a porter at a life insurance company,

which essentially meant that he opened doors and carried things for office workers

and executives. His wife, Delia Bud, was a homemaker.

Their children were two teenagers, named Edward and Albert Junior,
