Hello, this is the Red Box podcast. I'm Matt Chorley. Now, a slightly unusual episode today,

because normally it's me asking people questions, but instead I'm answering them. In a special

interview, Luke Jones, who presents Times Radio Weekend Breakfast and Fight It Sunday.

He's interviewed all of the weekday presenters on Times Radio, so he thought we'd bring

you the interview when he asked me the questions. I think it went all right. I hope you enjoy.

I did always want to be a journalist from, I mean, definitely from the age of,

well, maybe like seven or eight? Seven? Yeah, I remember it primary school doing a newspaper,

which was the front page stories about raising money for children in need, and they were knocking down

a water tower near the school. Classic. So I definitely remember doing that, and I must have been what

then, I don't know, eight or nine something like that, maybe. And then it just sort of continued

to be like, I don't really know where it came from, because there's nobody in my family who's a

journalist at all. But were they talking about the news around the breakfast table? A little bit.
