this is unprecedented. Pete Golding is going to make a coaching debut in the college football playoffs.

I mean, I know the playoffs are quite young, but it is hard to find anything that remotely resembles

this in sports. Really other than the old Bill quite young, but it is hard to find anything that remotely resembles this in sports.

Really other than the old Bill Frieder Steve Fisher situation in the Michigan basketball years back in 1989.

Yeah, what a crazy situation, man.

I'm hanging out with our guy Kyle Campbell here from Oxford from Ole Miss.

And he had to get over last night for the

coaches show as Pete Golding makes his debut didn't even know where he was going or how to

navigate that I mean you think that that coaches get a chance to ramp up as a first time head

coach and all the media demands but he had thrown right into the deep end here.

And he certainly killed it last night. And I think everything he's done along the way, including, you know, I don't know if you guys know or not, but he's not going to leave the team out tomorrow on the walk of champions. He's letting the focus be on the team, which is something that he's kind of talked about a lot with everything that's going on over the last month, not being about the team.

He wants everything tomorrow to be about them. And I think it's just one of the few subtle changes that he's making as he's taken over. You know, there was a poll during on, you know, which coach has the most pressure in this college football playoff? And the easy answer is Kailen Abor unless Pete Golding

wants to lose this game because this isn't an interim tag and I don't see really a path to victory

for Tulane. I mean this Ole Miss offense just plowed through him in that earlier meeting.

But if he was to lose this game, can you imagine what the outcry would be amongst Ole Miss fans finally

getting to a college football playoff and losing to a group five on campus is a 17 and a half point

favorite? Yeah, I don't know that the anger would be directed at Pete Golding as much as maybe some

additional anger at Lane Kiffin for what he would do to have disrupted a

historic run that this team has been on. And it's ironic too, guys, because last year was
