here indeed uh we just got off a good weekend here feel recharged ready to get into it this week

we are going to be talking about IVF always a fun topic to be talking about uh we are going to be

talking about google gemini maybe missed the mark significantly, some would say.

And then we're going to round it out with where these Christian nationalists believe their rights come from.

And maybe we were prophetic on a previous podcast.

We talked about it.

But we're going to talk about IVF.

Okay.

So we spent some time.

This is not a new issue for Catholics and actually excited in some ways to talk about it because we have such a, we're one of the few organizations that have kind of a rich intellectual tradition thinking about this kind of thing.

But we had a court case come down from Alabama.

It had to do with two couples coming forth bringing a lawsuit because

someone got into the lab and destroyed their frozen embryos that were in a tray. And so they

actually sued the fertility clinic saying that someone had actually basically hurt their child. It's under a law

there right now. I have the name of the law. Wrongful death to Miners Act. So it brought up all

these conversations about, you know, wait a second, are embryos actually children? Are there

something less than children? Of course, Catholics have thought about this, but the secular world tries to actually stay out of that a lot. So it brought a lot of things in the

forefront. Erica, why has this kind of burst under the scene and created so much controversy?

Yeah, this is a touchy, touchy issue. And I don't mean touchy in a dismissive way,

but it just touches the core of so many emotional

strings, right, going on here.
