We are joined right now by the head football coach at Alabama.

He's entering his second season there.

He was head coach at Washington for a couple of years prior to that, where he went 25 and 3 overall.

He won the 2023 Pac-12 championship.

He played the national championship game that year as well,

and was the 2023 AP coach of the year. The Crimson Tide coming off a nine and four year last season,

they ranked number eight in the preseason AP poll. They open up the year against Florida State on

Saturday. Of course, I'm talking about Kalin DeB. Kaelin, always great to have you on the show.

Thank you very much for making time. Kewan, how are you feeling this close to the start of the season? Yeah, it's finally here. Thanks for having me on, first of all, Jim. But yeah, it's game week. And, you know, it's got a different feel to it. So that's nice. And I can't wait to be on the field Saturday.

Hey, listen, I know you're focused on Florida State, but if we could spend one minute talking about last season, I'm just kind of curious, how would you describe your first year in Tuscaloosa? And what were your biggest takeaways as you get ready to take that next step in year two? Yeah, there were a lot of ups and downs, that's for sure.

And some high points and some times where, you know, it just felt lowest and lows.

But, you know, the guys, I think we've learned from a lot of those things.

And we've got the right guys here in the program that really want to continue to push forward. And they've taken

forth, you know, moving forward with all the action that needed to to change what the outcomes were.

And so they've kept it day to day, almost the fact where, you know, we had to make sure that

this week they kind of had a different feeling about them because they're focused on the
