| 0:37.0 | That's what I want to start the show with today, |
| 0:39.0 | because this has wide implications not just for the IVF industry and assisted reproduction more generally, |
| 0:47.0 | but also for the pro-life movement and for the way that the country legally approaches |
| 0:52.3 | the question of when life begins. |

| 0:58.0 | there was an IVF clinic in Mobile, Alabama |
| 1:01.4 | and a patient somehow got access to an area they were not supposed to |
| 1:06.6 | have access to and began wandering around and knocked over a handful of vials of embryos. So these are fertilized eggs that are being |
| 1:16.8 | frozen at the facility which is common practice at pretty much every IVF |
| 1:20.6 | clinic around the country. |
| 1:22.5 | And when the embryos were destroyed, |
| 1:24.7 | three couples sued the clinic under Alabama's |
| 1:27.3 | wrongful death of a minor act. |
