My name is Kelly, and I love alcoholics.

I have had so much fun.

More fun than you should have without your family.

I just want to say that.

So thank you for having me.

It has been an incredible weekend, and this committee is so amazing.

I just love Callie and Liz and Dave and Mark and all of you have just done such a

wonderful job of helping me feel at home here. And the speakers have been wonderful. Jill told my

story yesterday. Deb told my story yesterday. I love being around that kind of really powerful dynamic recovery. So thank you so much

for having me. But like I said, I love alcoholics. And I spent the first 30-some years of my life

learning some really, really sick tools for how to deal with alcoholics.

I'm sure you have learned some of them, too. I learned that you could yell and scream at them.

That never worked for me, but I did it all the time. I learned that you could beg and plead with them,

and I loved that tool. It never worked, but I loved it.

I learned that you could write them letters filled with frothy emotional appeals. It never worked.

And I have a confession to make. The big book of Alcoholics Anonymous is not conference-approved literature in Elinan, but my husband's
