Hello everybody.

I'm Barbara L, a grateful member of Al-Anon. I am so happy to be here.

This has been wonderful.

This serenity by the sea is absolutely incredible. I've enjoyed it so much and it's not even over yet.

You know, the love and the openness, I feel very welcome here. You know telling my story is not something

that I do very often and when I prepare to tell the story, I met with my sponsor, and we talked about it and went over it.

And I went back home and I said, you know what, there's nothing that I just said that I want to say again. So no telling what's going to happen today.

I've been in Al-Anon, you know I really don't know how long if you you ask Angela, you may know. It's not something that I keep track of.

It's just not that important to me. What's important to me is that it still works for me, and so I keep going, as long as it works for me and so I keep going as long as it works for me.

I was born in Baton Rouge, grew up there.

I'm the fourth daughter of five children.

I have a younger brother. My parents are around 38 whenever I was born. They're a little

bit older for the early 60s. And you know in my house there were three older girls and you know I had I had a lot of care.

It was a lot of fun. There was chaos. there was craziness, you know, and they paid me a lot of attention.
