Hello, everybody. Welcome to Red Pill Your Healthcast. We are here with a special guest today, Dr. Ben Moralia. He is the chief clinical officer at Airway Health Solutions and at Toothpelo. And he is a general dentist that has a lot of passion with focusing on education for poor jaw development and airway health. So I would like to

talk first about how you got started. Like you're a general dentist. What does that look like

when you are seeing patients that have this airway issue? How does that look like you getting

started focusing on the airway? Yeah. so thank you, Lauren, for having me.

I really appreciate this opportunity.

And I started out 31 years ago in dentistry,

and I spent the first 10 years of my practice fixing teeth.

I was doing crown and bridge and implant dentistry,

and I was fixing teeth and adults.

And during that 10 years, what we were doing,

we were a family care practice and we had children

coming in for the hygiene visits and sealants and little fillings because I could do that and it was

fun to do when you start off you treat the kids as they need to but it was the teeth it was a tooth

focused so of course when you're seeing these kids and they're turning 11 you send them to the

orthodontist and when you send them to the orthodontist. And when you send them to the orthodontist, they worked on the trial for a couple years.

You get them back and you see the results.

And there were some things that were disappointing to me.

At the top of the list was extracting teeth.

And so I just could never wrap my head around taking teeth out.

And a lot of times I was looking in there and I'm saying, I don't even think that's that

bad. Like the crowding didn't seem so bad to me. But again, back then, 21 years ago, I didn't know enough. So it just didn't

sit right with me. So I wasn't comfortable extracting teeth. Then you see the results and you're
