What's up everybody? Welcome to the Apple Bits XL. It is episode six and if you didn't think you were going to get another episode this week I didn't either but

after we had that interview with Mark Germin which was awesome and thanks so much for checking in and

listening to that we did have a little bit of audio issues in the

beginning where his mic was rubbing against him but then we got it solved so the

second half of the interview is a lot cleaner and we'll make sure that's tight the

next time around but you guys and gals come here to this show to find out the latest Apple news each week and so I feel like if we're gonna do an interview like that that we should also give you kind of a quick hitting here are the headlines

here's a few things to know about what happened in Apple this week so this is

A-B-X-L. All right let's just get to the headlines I think the big story this week

Apple officially discontinues the airport wireless

router lineup. That's right, it's over. Apple is no longer doing anything related to

Wi-Fi products.

This is something that we had seen kind of hinted at really as far back as I think almost

a year and a half ago, Bloomberg, Mark Germin's Bloomberg, article detailed how a signs that was happening but we didn't see an update after that article for literally a year and a half and

that was the writing on the wall for me they're not going to do anything about this so

they have officially discontinued the line that is the airport express which hasn't been updated since

2012 the airport extreme and time capsule that or the extreme that haven't

hasn't been updated since 2013.

So we're talking about a long, long time in technology

where they've just kind of left these.
