Flyers are still facing long security lines at some airports around the country.

CNN's striking tool is monitoring 16 major U.S. airports and so far today, some of the

longest security lines have been at George Bush International Airport in Houston,

where travelers have been warned they could be waiting for more than four hours. Four hours,

good lord. If you miss your flight, you are entitled to a refund for major flight delays or cancellations.

That doesn't include any delays from long TSA lines, and rebooking isn't guaranteed, so you should stay in touch with your airline and consider alternate routes.

Some airlines allow you to cancel before the departure time in exchange for airline credits,

depending on the type of ticket you have. You should check with your airline.

Meanwhile, a White House official told CNN that conversations are ongoing,

but a deal to end the weeks-long partial shutdown may be within reach. Republicans are pushing to fund DHS without part of the immigration enforcement budget,

which would be taken up in a separate bill.
