Welcome back to Buckeye Talk. It is your Friday edition, and that means another week of recapping Ohio States recruiting camps from Steven Means.

A lot's been going on out there this week at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center, and he's been out there all week, bringing the intel to you.

We are going to talk about a couple of topics that have been going on out there, or about to be stories for next week as that camp stuff wraps up.

But first we're going to talk about something that's going on with Ohio State recruiting across the country, and that is the Elite 11 camp, where Aaron Olen the 2024 Class of 2024 quarterback is at their competing with the other best quarterbacks in the country.

And Steven, can you kind of give us a wrap of where things stand? They're going into the last day competition Friday as we're recording this.

But we want to give you the update today because we're not going to talk recruiting again until middle of next week, and some things are happening that are pretty fresh as far as the performance no one just had out there.

Yeah, I thought Eric could go out there at the number 37 player, the number 5 quarterbacks, so he's already creeping up the rankings from where he was when he initially committed.

I thought he could go out there to the Elite 11 in Los Angeles and make a bit of a statement.

And one of the major storylines for me was going to be two guys who could have been Ohio State's quarterback versus the guy who is going to be the Ohio State's future quarterback.

And it's Aaron Olen and it's Dave and Davis and then Dylan Rayola.

And through two days, he's ranked within the top five or six or seven guys on both days once you start rolling stuff down on Wednesday when they started stuff.

A lot of rots on air stuff, a lot of drill stuff, and he came out of that day by the Elite 11 staff.

I know all these recruiting sites were putting out rankings as well, which he was consistently in the top five in those rankings.

But in the official Elite 11 rankings, he ranked third behind Julie and Saiyan, who's the number two quarterback in the country, the Alabama committee.

And Dylan Rayola, who of course is committed to Georgia and then Jaden Davis, the other notable name there ranked 11.

So he barely made it in.

And then the other five star quarterback, DJ Lagway, committed to Florida.

He came in at seven.

So those are the, maybe the noteworthy names of those CJ Karin there as well.

The Notre Dame commit who was ranked fifth.

...
