Mine is guitar equipment. I'm sure Thrill can relate to this, but, so I splurged, came across

money, got a Gibson E.S. cost me about five grand.

Whatever gets destroyed. I don't think I could ever find another one. I got it straight from

Gibson. And I love it. I mean, I'll probably die with it. How often do you use it? Well, I've got 10 guitars, so I have to kind of like, you know, kind of, you know, pick and choose. But I would say probably at least five, six hours a week. So you do use it.

Is it like a fine bottle of whiskey where you like every once in a while,

it's a special occasion you whip it out or is it?

Yeah, it's like if you're going on a date, you know, you're getting dressed up.

You're taking her into a nice restaurant.

Yeah, it's that kind of thing. Okay. No, I get it, man. I get it. My wife, she'll loosen up about, like, certain equipment I will buy,

like, if you're buying pedals and stuff. Like, what does the pedal do? I'm like, listen, if the bass can make the sound on its own, I wouldn't need the pedal. The point is you have to pedal to create this thing, right?

But if it's a whole new base, then she's like, well, how many do you have and how many do you

need?

I'm like, okay, first of all, you don't need to know the answer to either of those questions. But what I will tell you is, I have plenty and I don't need one, but I really want one. And my joy, when it comes to spending money, is on stuff you want. I'm like, look, we pay the bills every, you know, pay the mortgage. Not excited about that. I'm happy we can do that, but I'm not like, oh, yeah. I live in a house every day. It works itself out mathematically, but I'm like, there's no joy. And then this base that I want is less than our mortgage, and it brings me immense joy.

It doesn't always work, but that's the argument I make every time.
