Hello I'm Bex and welcome to the Week Junior show. Today I'm joined by two of the team from The Week Junior,

the magazine Making Sense of the World for 8 to 14 year olds. We've got associate editor Laura and writer Eve.

Now we've got loads to cover in this week's episode. We're going to be talking

about an inspiring role model, two sisters who made a historic discovery, and how dogs remember

their lost toys. We're also going to have a big debate about AI teachers. So speaking of teachers, I want to know if you're a teacher, what subject would you teach? Me personally, I'd go history. Because when I was at school, I had a history teacher who taught us about the Vikings by letting us make a Viking longship and then we spent the day pretending to be Vikings.

And I think I learned more about Vikings pretending to be one then I would have done from reading a book.

I just thought it was the most incredible thing to do.

So I'd be a history teacher and I would get immersive.

I'd get everybody in the classroom to pretend they were in that era.

Laura, how about you?

Oh, that sounds so cool my history

teacher just used to make us read stuff out from a book it's very boring.

Tamer. I did have a good one as well. I would be an English teacher because I basically like reading and this is very lazy of me actually because I think this is when I was at primary school we used to have a teacher which used and they used to do silent reading so

basically everyone just used to sit and read their books independently.

I can't let everyone do that because it's really fun but I know that's really lazy so

that's a bit like my PE teacher used to just say yeah today's

today's activity is running just run around the field a bit and that was it that's

what we did whilst you read a book probably yeah I was actually I got stuck in the woods, that's another story entirely.

Eve, how about you?

I'd have to go for two options if I would be allowed to do this, but I'm a big lover of physics,

so I'd love to be a physics teacher because I especially love astronomy you know the study of space and I think that would be really cool to teach. But also I do really like art as well so I'd love to be an art teacher because it would be fun to be recreative. Maybe I could merge the two and we could do paintings of space the

ultimate physics art lesson. So yeah that's what I would want to do. I love that. All right. Now let's talk about this week's cover. Laura, what can you tell me?
