The theme at this year's Geekwire Awards was Star Wars,

but we did not need to go to a galaxy far far away to find the force that promises to reshape the technology industry.

And of course, all the new AI methods that have come out are also completely revolutionizing the biotech space in all sorts of ways.

The game-changing potential of AI was on the minds of many finalists and attendees,

and it was integral to the business models of many of the companies featured on stage.

Y Labs developing an AI platform that monitors data.

Our mission is to use AI to create quiet ICUs.

Lexion, creating AI powered contract management software. AI guardrails and precautions were also top of

mind. And so if we do choose to use an AI model for some portion or aspect of our business,

we need to be really sure that the way it was trained reflects the people who are showing up

to interact with it. AI was even featured in the opening performance at the Geekwire Awards by

Rob McPherson, aka the drunken tenor of the Seattle Opera.
