0:39.4	squiggly careers listener, you'll know we've talked about confidence before because we did write a book
0:44.4	called Gremlins. So the way that we think about confidence is belief in yourself and other people
0:50.6	believing in you too. And Gremlins are those beliefs, doubts and fears that hold you back.
0:57.5	The things that get in your way.
0:59.8	And I think the problem with these gremlins is that they're often hidden.
1:04.9	We don't want to talk about them.
1:07.5	And they can kind of grow.
1:09.5	They kind of grow because they sort of hide in our brains and
1:12.3	like to take over. And at their worst, I think gremlin start to influence our actions, our
1:19.0	behaviours and can even go as far as like becoming our identity. And so if that happens,
1:25.4	it sort of stops you in your squiggly career.
1:27.8	I think it limits your learning, limits your potential.
1:31.2	It's sort of how we all get in our own way some of the time.
1:34.6	But when you learn to cage these gremlins, I don't think they haven't necessarily go away.
