I was an accountant that didn't want to be a CPA and I got into the software industry.

I first started working for SAGE when they were based here in Southern California,

a company called State of the Art, and which became SAGE.

And then I was recruited to a company that was ultimately bought by Microsoft.

That company was Great Plains. Great Plains was bought by Microsoft in 2001 at the time.
