Okay, I want you to imagine that you're going about your typical day.

Maybe you're getting ready for school or jumping in the car headed to work.

When you get a message that changes your life forever, a message letting you know that there is a full body nude image

of you circulating online or worse being shared

throughout your school for every classmate to see.

Now, of course, you immediately think,

well, that's impossible because you've never taken a photo

like that. But then you see it for yourself. The vulgar sexual image is indeed your face,

and even the background of the photo is familiar. And you realize I did take a photo in that pose, against that background,

but it has been completely changed. It's a photo you posted maybe months ago online. But from the

neck down, the photo has been digitally altered, your clothes stripped

off by a predator using AI technology to create a fake image called a deep fake, done with the sole

purpose to victimize and abuse you. Now, sadly, this is not an isolated incident.

In fact, over 2 million public high school students report they are aware of deep, fake,

non-consensual, intimate images depicting people and classmates at their schools. Now, my first guest, Brooke, says her 17-year-old daughter, Becca, was recently targeted

by a sick predator who for weeks posted dozens of fake nude and sexually explicit images

of her all created using AI technology.

So Brooke, I wish we were talking about something else.
