really aware that the supply of energy is really constrained.

Will the Federal Reserve make another interest rate hike next month?

It's a question we dive into a lot on this show, and especially heading into the Central Bank's

final meeting of the year.

Today we got some more clues from Fed Chair Jerome Powell.

During remarks at a conference in Washington,

he said it was premature to declare an end

to the Fed's historic interest rate increases

over the past two years.

But Powell also didn't make an argument for another rate hike right now.

The Fed has held rates steady at its last two meetings. They're currently at a 22-year high

to combat inflation by slowing the economy.

Meanwhile, in an interview yesterday with the Wall Street Journal,

Austin Goolsby, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago,

said officials will need to pay close attention to higher longer-term bond
