Hey everybody, I'm John Donovan, host and moderator of Intelligent Squared US debates

and this podcast.

But in this podcast, we are going to be doing something new, a new series, a series of conversations

we're organizing under the heading, agree to disagree, that's the title.

And it's going to be still what we do, which is argument, but we're doing it in a shorter

and more flexible format.

I'm going to be sitting down with two guests.

We will be talking about one topic from opposing points of views as we normally do.

It's not going to be a formal debate where you have opening remarks and timed rounds

and audience questions.

We're not going to be doing that.

Instead what we're going to be doing is having a conversation in depth on a timely topic

from two thinkers who just happen to disagree mostly on how society should tackle that issue.

So in this episode, we're going to be taking on the question of broadband access, which

is quite timely right now in this period of coronavirus with so many people retreating

to their homes where their connection to the world outside is online.
