Judging has never been an issue for me because from the time I was a little girl, I knew that

I was not what this society or this culture considered to be pretty. Everybody figures that

out for themselves, usually at a very early age. By the time I was three or four years old,

I knew that what other people thought was pretty. First of all, I don't ever remember hearing

anybody say that to me until I was eight or nine or ten years old. And one person said

it to me and I had a breakdown because nobody had ever used the word pretty. So the first

time somebody said, I was smart or I read well or I spoke well, I took that as my sense

of value. But I have to admit, I've always been fascinated by pretty girls, by pretty

women, by the beautiful people because I knew that I used being smart and reading and nourishing

my mind and spirit as my value card. And I often wondered what it would be like to be a pretty

girl and have that as your value card. And over the years, I've interviewed countless

beautiful people and most often they have not been what I considered upfront or really

truthful about it because if you talk to pretty women, they always inadvertently mention

something that they don't like about themselves or play the modesty card, which my angelos says

modesty is a learned effectation. There's nothing really real about being modest. And so

I've felt over the years in every single interview I've talked to models or beautiful actresses

or people who were considered beautiful by our culture. I always ask them about that.
