David Craichie formally announcing he's not going to return to the Bruins that he intends to play in his homeland, the Czech Republic. I have it on pretty good authority, by the way, that this isn't any kind of bombshell to the team. This is totally his choice. and he told the Bruins of this decision as far back as two weeks ago,

which is likely why you got that flurry of signings of all those forwards when free agency started up the other day. It's also my understanding that the key part of his statement comes at the end, which I will read in case you haven't seen it, but at the end, the last paragraph says this is not goodbye. I will not be a stranger. I will be a

bruin forever. I will see you at the TD Garden soon. And I will always bleed black and gold

with gratitude, David. So that being said, depending on what happens with the Czech

extraliga season, which starts the middle of September, ends in March. Who knows?

He could be back sooner than you think. It's just something to keep in mind. So wait a minute, Murray. Hold on. I was just going to say, obviously you have inside info here. But you're saying that his career with the Bruins is not necessarily done. We'll leave it a speculation there. Brown-checkmarkmarky speculation. So just something to keep in mind.

I think there's a key part of that statement at the end that he leaves the door open. I think this is, again, just he could be back sooner than you think. Okay. All right. So there you go. Very interesting tidbit, meaning that he'd be around for the playoffs, Murray. Well, what you're getting at. Possibly. So again, just, you know, keep that feather in your cap.
