0:43.2	issue, one of the most important issues facing our nation.
0:46.6	And during the hearing for that issue, we heard some, let's just say, spurious reasoning
0:53.7	when it came to what may constitute
0:56.0	an American citizen, how we might apply this. And it really opens up a question because it's
1:01.8	very clear that the intention as written in the 14th Amendment and the intention of the people
1:08.7	who wrote the 14th Amendment that we can see in extra documents,
1:11.8	make it clear the 14th Amendment is supposed to be for the children of freed slaves.
1:16.8	It is not a blanket invitation of anyone who is ever a foreigner to have a baby on United States soil
1:23.5	and suddenly become a U.S. citizen.
1:25.4	And yet, it seems pretty clear that we're going to get
1:28.6	exactly that interpretation out of a quote unquote conservative Supreme Court. So the question
1:35.9	then becomes, has this legalistic understanding of the Constitution, this attempt to be a
1:42.4	constitutional originalist, a Talmudic understanding of the
1:47.0	Constitution, if you will. Has that really benefited the right? Is that really what the
1:51.6	conservative movement should be looking to do? Joining me today to talk about this is the leader of
