About Us
Join the Party is an actual play podcast with tangible worlds, genre-pushing storytelling, and collaborators who make each other laugh each week. We welcome everyone to the table, from longtime players to folks who’ve never touched a roleplaying game before. Hop into our current campaign: the drama and excitement of a superhero high school! Or marathon our completed stories: Campaign 3 for a pirate story set in a world of plant- and bug-folk, the Camp-Paign for a MOTW game set in a weird summer camp, Campaign 2 for a modern superhero game, and Campaign 1 for a high fantasy story. And once a month we release the Afterparty, where we answer your questions about the show and how we play the game. New episodes every Tuesday.

| 0:00.0 | Hey, hi, hello, and welcome to the after-party, the first after-party, in fact, of Campaign 4 that takes place during fall as of the time we're recording us. |
| 0:10.4 | I know our school year started in the fall, but now for us, canonically, in the timeline, in real life, it is actually physically fall. |
| 0:17.3 | And I just, I want to start, there's no time for chatter, y'all. |
| 0:20.7 | Fall is here. it's a precious |
| 0:22.2 | season it's we can't you know we can't waste it so you're gonna fall into the mysterious stuff |
| 0:27.2 | no you can't um please don't talk unless you're telling me what soup you are most excited to eat |
| 0:32.3 | slash make this season because our first question comes in from mila pave who said I tried the soup |
| 0:37.2 | called Roberto |
| 0:37.8 | last year on Eric's recommendation, and I'm excited to do it again. |
| 0:41.3 | What the hell is Roberta? I don't remember this. |
| 0:42.8 | Roberto is a soup that Helen Rosner invented, question mark, archaeologized. |
| 0:48.9 | And it's like this tomato, kale, sausage soup. |
| 0:52.9 | And it's so fucking good. |
| 0:54.8 | The other thing is that I asked for after-party questions, and I posted this soup that I got at Mimi Chang's, which is this dumpling place, which is next to Village East Cinema, where I saw, like, all good boys. |
| 1:06.5 | I saw one battle after another in 70mm. |
| 1:10.1 | And there was a, it was a collaboration between Mimi Chang's in this place called Jack's Wayfreeta, which is like a very brunchy place you might see on Instagram in New York City. |
| 1:19.8 | And it was chicken soup dumplings. |
| 1:23.3 | Where instead of matzo balls, they were dumplings, but they were filled with matzaballs. |
| 1:27.7 | Wow. |
| 1:28.1 | Oh, that sounds good. |
| 1:29.7 | And then it was like chicken soup, carrots, and a ton of dill. It was so good. Homie, that is so Eric coded. Amanda, this is a workplace. Can you not call me homie? You're right. You're right. I'm sorry. It's not over there. One of my favorite soups to make once the weather starts getting colder is that Greek lemon chicken soup. Yeah, the one I can never pronounce. Yeah, I can't pronounce it either. And I've tried so many times. But it is super creamy, not because you, like, add heavy cream to it or anything, but you basically make like a very frothy egg mixture and then slowly |
| 2:02.1 | temper it into the soup, which thickens everything. And it's delicious. Yeah, that was a good one. |
