Hello, people. How have you been?

Well, I do hope so. I know it has been a while. As you know,

the main narrative of my show ended months ago. Still, I persist with new episodes. Like this one,

I have decided to rename them. After all, I can hardly continue

to call them bonuses if there is no main show. After consultation with some of the finest

minds in history podcasting, I have decided to call them afterlife shows, of which this is the first.

This Afterlife episode features Bernie Mayapolski of the fan of history show,

available wherever you get your podcasts from.

He and his co-host Dan Hruning are engaged in a steady march through ancient history,

one decade at a time. It's a lot of fun. In this afterlife show, Bernie and I discuss what it is

like to be a history podcaster. I do hope you enjoy it. The next time we meet,

Hi there, Bernie. How we doing? I am good. And I, of course, I am Bernie. Not of course, because if you're listening to

Gary's podcast, but you've heard to me before, I'm Bernie from fan of history. I am in Scranton,

Pennsylvania, USA. Gary is in Sydney, Australia. Isn't that amazing, Gary, how we get to be friends and do this kind of thing?

It's great, isn't it? I really think so. And we're doing this separate. We're half on opposite

sides of the planet. But anyway, yeah, so today we're going to do something a little different.

We're going to talk about, just like to sort of interview each other, What's, you know, Gary's background? What's Bernie's background? What's it like to be a history podcaster? Maybe somebody wants to become a history podcast or any other type of podcaster or if you have any friends or family that's talked about it. We'll give you, we're going to just talk about a little bit,
