Welcome to the Wallace Show aftercast all the things we did not get to during the course of the show today including some politics.

I know.

I didn't know about this.

You know this is like you guys hate controversy and I get that and and that's why you sit in those chairs and I sit in this chair over here because this is what I do and so actually this isn't really controversial as much as it is

informative because I was really curious,

have you guys heard about the presidential pardons?

What do you know about this, Rock?

It means that if there's someone in jail

that the president doesn't want to be in jail that the president

doesn't want to be in jail then he can pardon them and say you know what you're

fully forgiven right and so that happens every time a president leaves office

they like they pardon pardon a few different people, and sometimes a bunch of

different people, and it's totally at their discretion.

And so, but what's been happening recently is there is thoughts and talks of the president

pardoning himself to keep him from getting in trouble after he is out of

office the Democrats coming after him and trying to

prosecute him for different things that they feel he was guilty of and so he

they floated the idea of him giving himself a pardon.

It turns out though the Justice Department says he cannot pardon himself

because no one can be a judge whose official actions

would directly affect himself or herself so it precludes him
